The MPC-BE is an advanced version created based on "Media Player Classic" project (Gabest) and "Media Player Classic Home Cinema". The Media Player Classic Home Cinema is the advanced version of Media Player Classic only it has additional features and MPC is the simplest version which is capable of playing all the video formats without advanced features. I recommend using MPC-HC which is most suitable for all the file formats and has some basic configuration features.
